Beck Does Not Like Spaghetti

and if I were him, I wouldn't either... that stuff tastes like butt.

On another note... Beck does not like to eat out of his high chair anymore. He REFUSED to eat spaghetti (understandable) but then he refused to eat cereal which was weird. I thought maybe he just wasn't hungry... a bit later we tried again with sweet potatoes which he loves. Again, he REFUSED. He would scream and throw his body against the tray of the high chair. I took him out and fed him while I was holding him and he chowed down. This is clearly not going to work. Any suggestions? Has this happened to anyone else before?

After the high chair debacle I fed him some mashed potatoes off my plate... if mashed potatoes are on the menu every night I don't think we'll have a high chair problem anymore. The only thing he was concerned about was getting more... which is why his hand almost got stabbed by my fork. Lesson learned, ey Beck? Don't mess with momma's food.

A Breather

Did you know we're moving?

We are.

I have been trying to get rid of all kinds of junk we have around the house, especially baby stuff we don't use anymore. One of my clients at work is about 38 weeks pregnant, about to pop and has 0 baby gear. Wait, I gave her 2 onesies and 10 size 2 diapers that Beck has outgrown so she has 12 baby items. Yikes. Needless to say, I have been pulling things together like clothes, diaper bags and a bath tub that we don't use anymore and setting them out so I can give them to her. It's pretty tiring getting all this stuff together and preparing to pack for our big move.

Beck is really feeling it.

While crawling behind Seth, following him to the front door, Beck decided he needed to take a little breather...

Maybe this is his way of saying he's not really to part with his tub.

** If anyone is interested in donating baby stuff to my client, Rifine, please let me know! You can contact me or drop it off at Kentucky Refugee Ministries, 201 E Maxwell St. Lexington, KY. She literally needs EVERYTHING! I can't imagine being full term and not knowing when/if I was going to get even a crib for my baby to sleep in. Thanks in advance!!

It's Official

BECK IS MOBILE

In an attempt to get an army crawl on video, we got one of Beck's first real big boy crawls! He is on the move everywhere now and he thinks it is hilariousssssss. Every time he goes forward he cracks up. It's so cute, he is so thrilled with himself and his new found freedom. I can't believe how quicky he figured everything out, and how much better he gets even in 1 day. He'll generally crawl to just about anything but if you put a cell phone, remote or coaster out in front of him...

... see ya.
Oh and if you put Sophie out in front of him he'll do a roundoff back handspring to get to here.

It's Any Day....NOW

He can do this
And he's always doing this
And now I can't do anything because he can get into everything!

There are not 30 days in February

So happy early 7 months baby Beck!

Beck weighs 18 lbs 6 ounces and has all but grown out of his 9 month clothes. He is back to only waking up once a night (HALLELUJAH! 2 months of acting like newborn was not fun), had his first ear infection and is thinking about crawling.
He will occasionally do a slight army crawl but has yet to get up on all 4s.... any day now! He says "dadadadadadada" all day long but doesn't associate it with Seth.

He's really trying to pull himself up now and has even done it successfully a couple times. He LOVES his sippy cup! I remember noticing the transition between when I considered Beck to no longer be a newborn but just a regular baby, now I don't think he's a baby but a hmm... big boy baby? What's the name between baby and toddler? That's what Beck is.

I think Beck sensed the Cats loss before Seth did, being in tune with his inner Boogie and all
